Before you can book your practical test (driving test) you must pass a theory test. More info here on the DSA website
Multiple choice questions The test is in two parts, the first test is multiple choice questions taken from a question bank. For this test you are allowed 57 minutes to complete and you must score 43 out of 50 questions to pass the first stage.
Hazard Perception The second part of your theory test is a hazard perception assessment, you will see 14 video clips of every day road situations that you might encounter as a driver. In each clip there will be developing hazards you can score on. In 13 of the clips there will be only one hazard that you will count towards your score. One of the 14 clips will have two hazards you can score on, you will not know which one it is, that's why it is important to click on every developing hazard to score top marks. Top score for a hazard will be five points, the slower you respond, less the score, zero = no points for that clip. (More about developing hazards coming soon).
